Smooths became a 50-year passion when I became a "pupil" of my mentor, Cam Milward (the owner of the Grenpark Smooths), in Melbourne, Australia in 1960, having been attracted to Smooths based on their willingness to show at the highest level with the least amount of time demanded to be successful in all livestock exhibiting.  I have always been interested in exhibiting animals, from canaries to Hackney horses, poultry, Cheviot sheep, game fowl, English Setters, Pointers, Dobermans and Wire and Smooth Fox Terriers.  These have always occupied my spare time and the only things I have never shown are our children.  They are quite capable of showing themselves, one as the handler in the US who is currently campaigning one of my Smooth productions, Australian Ch. Rama Rage in The Park.
